Midwife in Arlington, TX

Midwifery care for Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas

Midwifery. For you.

Guarded birth. Honored individuality. Professional humility. You deserve to meet your child in the most personalized way possible. On that, we deliver.

When birth is normal, there’s no need to interfere. Beyond medical intervention, safety means birth guardianship, honoring the journey and providing a safe place for individualized care.

More than just availability, we build relationship and trust. Our clients’ body wisdom informs the birth process. The intimate client-midwife dynamic kindles deep connectedness and genuinely client-led care.

Simple things matter. Human kindness is the simplest form of respect. When a woman is at her most vulnerable, shame, bullying and coercion have no place. We do not judge. We serve. Kindly.

Birth. You were born for this. Birth is the single greatest gift that one human can give to another, and you were purpose-built for exactly that. It is a sacred rite of passage, and we are honored to bear witness to it.

Our midwives are based in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX, but serve clients in Arlington, Plano, Irving, Garland, Grand Prairie, McKinney, Frisco, Mesquite, Carrollton, Denton, Richardson and Lewisville. The practice is primarily based out of the Birth and Wellness Center of Arlington, but our midwives regularly assist clients at home births as well. They hold Certified Professional Midwife licenses nationally and Licensed Midwife designations in the (fertile) state of Texas.

What to Expect from Your Midwife

Due to increased risk of COVID-19 exposure, we have modified the way we care for our clients. You will see us gloved and masked at all times, and part of the appointments will be done over FaceTime. We are in compliance with all CDC and WHO guidelines regarding sanitation and cleaning procedures. We love all of our clients, their babies (both born and yet-to-be born) and their partners and families! Whether your birthing sanctuary is our birth center or your home, you deserve to feel safe from COVID-19 exposure.

Attention to Signals from Your Body

Your midwife will encourage you to take time each day to be still and listen to what your body is telling you. This feedback is critical for understanding the many changes happening during pregnancy, providing the best possible care and responding to possible complications that may arise.

Childbirth Education

We strongly encourage enrolling in a childbirth education class. Our birth center in Arlington hosts one regularly, but there are also other options in the DFW metroplex as well.

During prenatal appointments we teach and prepare you for childbirth, but an intensive childbirth class brings more depth to what the birthing person and partner can expect to experience.

The more empowered you are for the natural process of birth, the less intimidating it will be.

Reasonable Fees and Payment Structure

Midwifery is truly a labor of love. It is a demanding profession with long hours and many sleepless nights. In order to provide exemplary care to you my client, as well as guard myself from burn-out, I only accept 5 clients each month. Please commit to your payment schedule faithfully, as I am committed to giving you the highest quality care possible.

The Midwifery Model of Care

Midwifery is an ancient practice and has been both crucial and commonplace in many cultures around the world. It is a fascinating study to learn more about the field of midwifery.

Inclusive LGBTQIA+ Midwifery Care

Sexual orientation should have no bearing on the availability of a safe, compassionate birth experience. Our midwives support birth regardless of where on the sexual identity spectrum parents indentify.
